Hi there and thanks for looking at my site.
Basically it's all about my search for an old race bike of mine, that I've been looking for for some time now.
The bike was very unusual and wasn’t road registered so I can’t trace it through normal channels.
I raced it from 1986 to 1992 at both club level and in the old F2 class with some success and now I’ve stopped
racing I’d like to try and get hold of it again to use at trackdays & parades.
The bike was a complete "one-off" and was based around a modified TZ500 H rolling chassis fitted with a heavily
tuned, aircooled Kawasaki GPZ550 motor (although I replaced this with a GPZ600r engine in about 1991). I still have
the GPZ 550 engine in bits under my workbench , but the rolling chassis I sold in November 1993 to a Mr
S.Voss (I actually found the receipt I made up for the sale in my loft !). If I recall correctly, his idea was to put
a Bonneville engine into it and put it on the road, but whether he did or not, I don't know. I’m sure he lived
in South London or possibly the Southern Home Counties at the time and I seem to recall he may have been Dutch - but
don’t quote me on any of that as it was some time ago :-) I was living south of Croydon (Oxted),
in Surrey at the time and I recall he was about an hour or two away from where I lived.
Obviously, being a race bike there are no registration numbers to go on, but I know of some distinguishing marks (OK, crash
damage !) that can hopefully help to identify it.
